Explore Talent speaks on Leonardo DiCaprio’s past appearance in “Saturday Night Live” before going to the Academy Awards. While he did not get the Best Actor trophy for “The Wolf in Wall Street”, he surely made fans crazy over his guest appearance in SNL. Hosted by his co-star from “Wolf” Jonah Hill, they equally made TV and live viewers happy when using the opening monologue.
The plotted surprise appearance of Leo DiCaprio evolved into a rapid hit, Rolling Stone proved. This happened right after Hill wanted to make everyone else ask questions. This is generally conducted within the starting monologue. The latter started to get mad and throw a fit since the thoughts ended up everything about his co-actor in “Wolf”. DiCaprio suddenly showed up and argued with him, but at the end they made up in a peculiar way. So, they did a scene in one of DiCaprio’s most famous movie “Titanic”. This is considered as one of the most unforgettable openings from “Saturday Night Live”.
Both DiCaprio and Hill are nominated on Academy Awards for “The Wolf of Wall Street” with Best Actor in a Leading Role and Best Actor in a Supporting Role, respectively. Hill gained the role by going through an acting audition from Leonardo DiCaprio and director Martin Scorsese. Both of them gave their outstanding performances but did not triumph in obtaining the awards.
