Young actors seem to be popping up in Hollywood every now and then that it can be a bit difficult to keep track of their names. Audiences tend to remember the ones who stand out, and once their career really starts kicking off, these young actors end up being household names.
On this list, you will find talents that are still making their mark in Hollywood. A number of them have already had film experience before but continue to build their career under the limelight. So in no particular order, check out the most promising young actors under the age of 25 below.
Young Actors on the Rise
1. Ezra Miller, 23
Ezra Miller‘s breakout role was in the young adult movie Perks of Being a Wallflower, where he played Emma Watson‘s stepbrother. After that, Miller bagged roles in not one but two upcoming blockbuster films, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them as well as the superhero ensemble movie Justice League (Miller already made an appearance as The Flash in Batman vs. Superman).
2. Tony Revolori, 20
Director Wes Anderson cast the right character to play Zero in the Oscar-winning movie The Grand Budapest Hotel. The actor playing him, Tony Revolori, gave just the right amount of charm in his performance. He did not just stop there, the 20-year-old actor starred in Dope, a crime-comedy produced by Pharell Williams. Needless to say, Revolori is one of the finest young actors in the business, and he is about to become even more popular as Marvel Studios has tapped him to play Flash Thompson in 2017’s Spiderman: Homecoming.
3. Shameik Moore, 21
Revolori’s Dope co-star definitely deserves more credit for his performance in the movie. Shameik Moore was successfully able to take on a role that required the right amount of teenage angst and comedy at the same time. His latest project is the Netflix series The Get Down, but unfortunately he has no new movie roles. Hollywood definitely needs to wake up and take notice of Moore, as this actor can really give complex characters justice.
4. Saoirse Ronan, 22
To say that Saoirse Ronan can act is an understatement. The Irish born beauty is one of the best young actors of her generation. Her breakout role was as the feisty Briony in Atonement where she starred alongside heavyweights James McAvoy and Keira Knightley. Ronan has gotten a number of starring roles after that and even garnered a Best Actress nomination for the movie Brooklyn. Ronan has numerous projects lined up, and she definitely has the drive to keep herself ahead of most young actors in Hollywood nowadays.
5. Maisie Williams, 19
At 19, Maisie Williams is already one step ahead of some of her older Game of Thrones co-stars. For one thing, she was nominated as Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series during the 2016 Primetime Emmy Awards. Even if she did not win the coveted award, Williams already has a number of accolades under her name, including the Saturn Award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor as well as a London Film Critics Award for her performance in her first feature film, The Falling.
